Brightness Keys Not Working

I can manually go in and adjust my brightness in the settings, but my brightness buttons won't do anything. What do I need to do?

Good morning ivy_13!

I see that you're having some trouble with the brightness buttons not working on your MacBook Air, but that you're able to adjust the brightness manually.

Go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab > and make sure that "Use F1, F2, etc..." option is unchecked here. Try using the brightness keys again.

If that doesn't do the trick, I recommend resetting the SMC to see if this resolves the issue: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Take care.
