How do I reset my apple music "For You" suggestions

My kids used my tablet to listen to music before they got their own phones, they added a lot of music I don't like at all and now my suggestions are really so bad even after 3 months of telling Apple music I hate the tracks... , it's so bad that I'm considering another music streaming app. The apple suggestions was never spot-on but now it's so off that I can't listen to it any more. There does not seem to be a way to cancel "loves" not a reset (we'll not that's any one on the web knows about).

Hello geanfrompretoria,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! From your message I can see that you’re wanting to reset your Apple Music suggestions. I know how important my music is. You can change the initial suggestions which are in your Apple Music profile. To do this go to Apple Music > For You > tap on your photo (top right corner of your iPad) > Tap on your name to View Profile > scroll to the bottom to Delete Profile and create a new one. When you create a new profile it will allow you to select your musical preferences which will refine the suggestions you see in Apple Music. This article will show you’re about Apple Music, including how to change your settings: Listen to music and more in the Music app.

Cheers!

I'm doing it from my iphone XR not a tablet, not sure if this is the cause but I don't have the "delete profile" option at the bottom... If I click on my picture in the "For you" and I click on my photo with View profile, it takes me to my Friends page, it show who I'm following and who's following me, and at the bottom there is only a Follow more friends button, no delete...

Your description matches the ones I find online, but does not match my screen flow.

Hi Geanfrompretoria,

Thanks for getting back to us and letting us know that you're not seeing the option to delete. I checked on my iPhone XS Max and it was showing. Since you're not seeing it, try closing the Music app and then restart your iPhone. These articles will show you how to force close the app and how to restart:

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once restarted, open Music and follow the steps again. If you're still not seeing any option to delete the profile, Contact Apple Support for additional assistance.

Cheers!
