Child's Apple ID greyed out on iPad

My child's Apple ID is greyed out on his iPad. All restrictions on are turned off. I can't sign in or out or access it. We recently moved countries, we changed credit cards associated with the parental Apple ID and since then the child's Apple ID is unusable - greyed out. When we try to download from the App Store it says we need to associate the Apple ID with the new country however we can't access it because it is greyed out! Help, frustrating. All restrictions on the iPad and associated iPhone are turned off, screen time is turned off, we have hard started it several times etc. Any ideas apple?

Hello, DangerousMouse20.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

Gathering from your post, I understand that you're unable to set the region on your child's Apple ID because it is greyed out on the iPad settings. I got some steps that could potentially help you with this. Instead of using the iPad to change the settings, use a web browser and sign in to the Apple ID website to make the changes to region. Here's a link that can show how: Change your Apple ID country or region

To address the other issue with the Apple ID being greyed out, try these steps to see if it helps: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

- Enable Content & Privacy Restrictions, navigate to Account Changes in Content & Privacy Restrictions

- Toggle to "Don't Allow"

- Power Cycle Device

- Navigate back to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Account Changes

- Toggle to "Allow"

- Toggle off Content & Privacy Restrictions

Let me know if this helps.

Cheers!
