i have the iPhone XS Max and when im
truing to use any filter button on snap chat or instagram the volume button doesn’t take pics. What’s that about?

Ask snapchat or instagram, since you're using their app.
If the button doesn't work to lower or increase the volume on your phone, then it an Apple issue.
Yea you're using Snapchat and Instagram apps, not Apple's app and if you the side button works for your volume then there is no issue with your phone.
You haven't found an answer because it's not an Apple or iphone issue.
NO it's not obvious what you've tried, nobody here is a mind reader, we don't know any information unless you actually write it in your original post..
Like I said before, if the function still works to increase or decrease the volume there is no issue with the phone.
Ok maybe you should try answering questions you have knowledge of. By spending 5 min googling it’s an issue many people have had and I haven’t found an answer. Which is why I’m here looking for one.
