Excel document hidden in the corner

I have 5 Excel documents that were migrated from a previous MacBook Pro to my new Mac Book Air. I have download Microsoft Office 365 on the new Mac. When I open each of the above mentioned documents, they barely show up in the lower right corner of my screen. By barely, I mean almost 1 mm is visible. I can grab it and drag it to a usable location but I would like to know why this is happening and how to stop it. Thanks for any help.

Hey whiteharvey,

I see that you're have some trouble with quite a few of your Excel documents opening at the bottom of the screen. I'd like to help out.

First, try checking a setting by going to the Apple menu > System Preferences > General and check "Close windows when quitting an app". With this checked, make sure Excel is closed from the Dock then try to open it again. Do your files open normally?

If not, start the MacBook Air in safe mode to see if the same issue occurs with opening these files in Excel: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
