How to Open Files (xls & Word) in Fulscreen or Zoomed

Hello guys,

i just bought my second Macbook (had one ten years ago) and I am struggling with the following:

I

work with a lot of different Excel and Word files in Office. However,

every time I open a .xls file in Finder, it starts Excel in this small

view.

Is there a way to start it autmatically in either Fullscreen or at least the Zoomed Style?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

I found a solution:

The

files were created on an ol windows machine and then saved. It also

saved the resolution and therefore the size of the window.

Not with

the retina display the resoluiton was much higher, so all I had to do

was open the file, resize the window to the deisred size and save it.

Voila .

When reopening previously opened apps, macOS will respect their previously closed window status. In other words it should work exactly the way you expect.
