new contacts missing from iPhone
I have entered new contacts on my phone's contact list but they are not there when i try to retrieve. Is this a problem around the Cloud setup?

Do you have multiple email accounts set up on your iPhone? If so, go to Settings/ Contacts and check which account is set up as the default account for new contacts -- chances are the contacts are being saved, just not where you expect them to be.
If the default is wrong then change it to the account that you want your contacts managed with. You can also go to the misfiled contacts and email them to yourself, delete them from the account, then re-save them from the email (which will put them in the default that you set).
