"Genius results can’t be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (4010)."

Hi there! When I try to enable Genius in iTunes, it gives me this error: "Genius results can’t be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (4010)." I've tried restarting, opening "iTunes Music Library.xml" in a browser to see which song is causing this, but nothing has worked so far. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Hi Benadryl2000,


I've been having this very same issue for the past 2 or 3 days. Everything was working fine until the other day when all of a sudden I got this error message from iTunes.


I've tried restarted my machine countless times and reopening iTunes but after getting 90% of the way through "gathering information about your iTunes library" (which seems to take forever) only to get this same message I'm at a loss as to what is going on with or has happened to my library.


Did your system sort itself out or did you do something behind the scenes to get it working?
