managing marketing emails

I use iCloud email. As time goes on, I seem to be getting more and more marketing emails. I may have a mild interest in some of them, but I'm also finding that I am spending an enormous amount of time deleting or moving emails. My in-box is also cluttered with a lot of emails that I have forgotten to delete and it takes a lot of time to review and delete them. Short of "unsubscribing," I am trying to slowly create rules to route marketing emails to other folders, so that I can access them if I want to. However, it would also be nice to set the rule so that the emails are automatically deleted after a period of time without my having to manually do this. I'm curious to know any creative ways that people have come up with to manage marketing emails.
