Custom ringtones for contacts

Has anyone found a way to add a custom ringtone to a contact?

With iOS 12 all my custom ringtones disappeared. I have put some back in using iOS garageband but cannot find a way to attach one to a specific contact.

If there is no way to do it now and you would like to have it available go to the apple feedback page at https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html and ask for it.

The more who ask for it the better chance there is.
