find email message ID

Is there an easy way to determine the message ID of an Apple email?

I can drag an email to the desktop, and then paste that into other programs, but one program I use needs the ID, not a link to the email. Is there a quick way to determine an email's unique ID?

I know what is needed. I understand that every email has a unique identifier, something like message:%3CASDFJFJ-FJSLEK-EISLFK@outlook.com%3E.

I'd like a simple way of extracting that message header from an email message, so I can paste it into a Markdown document and have an active link. Markdown formats links like [title](http://something.com). I want to create a link like [email](message:%...%3E) so I can link in a document to a specific email message.

Any thoughts, anyone?
