HP 1300 laser printer won't print since updating to Mojave

My printer won't print, I have checked the connections (USB) and they are fine. Sometimes the printer says it is not connected, other times it show connected. I have also turned off the printer several times. Any other suggestions?

iMac 27", 10.14
