finder window disappears

finder window disappears

finder window disappears if I open a file and I have to go to the task bar to reopen it and look for more files; any way to keep it open in the desk top/background?

If you mean when you open a file the app that opens it covers the Finder window that would be normal and you can press "command + Tab" to switch between the Finder and other apps.

You're welcome. Yes sorry, it never occurs to me that people may run the Finder in full screen. When you do that it creates a separate space and once you open a new file/app it switches spaces. Glad you have it sorted.

Thanks dialabrain,

that solved my issue. It arises only if I work on finder in full screen.I also discovered that I can swipe right to left with 2 fingers over the mouse to bring it back into view.
