On an iMac or MacBook:
- click on the apple icon in the menu bar
- click on 'System Preferences'
- click on iCloud (usually in the third row)
- on the bottom of the screen, you can see how much iCloud storage is used. Point to each colored block and you get more information
On an iPhone:
- click on 'settings'
- click on your account on the top of the screen
- click on iCloud
- click on 'Manage Storage'
- you can see how much storage is used by Photo's
