how do I know how much of my iCloud storage space is being used?

How to tell how much storage space is consumed by photos folder?

On an iMac or MacBook:

  • click on the apple icon in the menu bar
  • click on 'System Preferences'
  • click on iCloud (usually in the third row)
  • on the bottom of the screen, you can see how much iCloud storage is used. Point to each colored block and you get more information

On an iPhone:

  • click on 'settings'
  • click on your account on the top of the screen
  • click on iCloud
  • click on 'Manage Storage'
  • you can see how much storage is used by Photo's
