Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hi, currently i'm unable to import photos from a new iPhone XR iOS 12.1.3 to a macbook touchbar 2016 with macOS 10.13.6. I'v tried resets, reboots, enabling disabling etc. nothing works.
It is not working with apple Photo and Adobe Lightroom CC.
ANY suggestion or help is welcome!

I was able to contact an Apple technician and we ended up with reinstalling iOS (resetting the iPhone) and recovering the data (apps, photos, ...) from a backup I did before the reset.
Now I can sync / import with Apple Photo and Lightroom without any problem.
Remember: do regularly a backup :) it might be worth one day.

I take pictures with the Apple Photo app and ProCam. I did that in the past with an iPhone 7 and had nor problems at all.
As the macbook has USB-C I tried a USB-C to Lightning cable, but also the Apple USB-C HDMI/USB adapter with the original Apple Lightning Cable.
Mac Photo and Lightroom both list the phone als Source.
Hi, I connect the iPhone by cable tp the Mac and open Photos or Lightroom.
Bothe give the message "No Fotos found" for import.
I check with an iMac and Lightroom and Photos too. Here is the same: No Fotos found message.
And these photos were taken by the phone camera.?
You are using the cable provided with the phone?
The Mac Photos app lists the phone as a source for import?
if Yes to all three I’ll pass on this one.
So you connect the phone by cable to the mac and open Photos.
What does not happen? What dont you see? We need some help to see how far you can get.
I presume you set up ProCam to save to phone Photos camera roll.
What is that Fotos Offnen check box for?
Thats what we tell the folk who just lost the photos of the grandkids. Should have backed up!
Restore fixes 90% of problems but it has that degree of risk
