None of this seems particularly noteworthy.
Cloudflare provides various web- and network-related services, including web security features and web caching and robust web hosting. They’ve some quite fascinating hosting tools for containing amd running apps, using wasm web assembly too, rather than much heavier appraches previously used to help isolate and prptect network services.
Apple uses Cloudflare services. Based on what you’ve posted, for iCloud.
Browser-based JavaScript can get wonky, and sometimes some web site positioned behind Cloudflare for security or for caching gets wonky, and sometimes Safari gets wonky. Sometimes a web site gets compromised and loads some sketchy JavaScript and that gets busy. Sometimes the user requested a Linux boot in the browser—yes, yu can boot Linux using JacaScript in a browser tab—or some oth\er compararively heavy and power-intensive task. And sometimes iCloud gets wonky, and the iCloud keychain support—which may well be what is centrally\ involved here—has definitely gotten wonky on me and on other folks.
I see nothing here that looks remotely unusual, nor at all concerning. Close the tab, and move on.
I’d like for iCloud and Safari and the rest to not have occasional gitches, and for yutzes to not be loading cryptocurrency miners or ther dreck into a Safari tab, and for legitimate JavaScript to not sometimes get confused or buggy, but that happens. Close the tab, and move in.
If you’re less than cmfortable about computer security, that’s another discussion, and there are various suggestions around that, and not the least of which involves configuring backups and with some depth of backups, and with some backups disconnected and rotated off-site when not in active use. Nackups are one of thr most central security features, and one that not everybody is using, There are other steps and suggestions, as well.
February 5, 2019 a unknown, unsolicited WEBSITE: com.apple.cloudd.deviceIdentifier.Production commandeered itself into Safari, Preferences, PASSWORDS using a long-ago deleted password.
I've searched several 'how to' sites with no viable options to rid oneself of 'Cloudflare'
www.cloudflare.com/#what-is-cloudflare
https://www.cloudflare.com/#dns-on-the-go
Safari just notified me 'this site is using a significant amount of energy and should be closed'! I left the site open in order to copy specifics for this query.
Advice would be appreciated.
Could you provide some background on the particular issues you’re seeking to address here, and kindly re-state your question with a few more details?
