Problem with itunes could not connect to this iphone 0xe800000a

I have a new iPhone X running v12.1.2 (16C101) and anew MIcrosoft Surface laptop running iTunes v 12.1.3.6 (latest versions says version checker) and I get the above when I connect my iPhone.

How do I fix this?
