Apple Watch for Cycling

My AW3 underestimates calorie expenditure significantly in my favorite sport Mountain Biking and this plays out by not crediting the Move & Execise Ring properly. Is Apple going to address this? The algorithms for cycling need tweaking for me to keep with the AW. Alternatively are there any third pty apps for cycling that move the rings in the apple activity app? Frustrated because other then the cycling problem love the functionality of the AW.

Thank you for the replies.

I know it’s underestimating because:

  1. my Garmin records 2x the calorie expenditure as does any calorie calculator for Mountain biking on the Net.
  2. within the AW workout app a outdoor walk with an average hr of 100 bpm closes the rings more then cycling with an average hr of 125 over the same amount of time.

Same thing happens when I use the Strava app on the AW and it is enabled through apple health.
