occasional lag magic trackpad 2 wireless mode

Hi, I've just recently bought a Magic Trackpad 2. As I was using it, I've noticed a slight occasional input lag where the Trackpad won't recognize my input for approximately half a second or so (two finger scrolling and mouse movement, etc)

Interesting thing is that it is not due to Bluetooth interference. When I charge my Magic Trackpad 2 on my USB wall charger (Not connected to my mac) and use my Trackpad, it does NOT have ANY issue.

Something tells me it might be due to aggressive battery saving mode. Can anyone help me if there is a software update? I really hope Apple support reads this.

Thanks.

I'm experiencing the same issues, although I think I've found the root cause. When my Magic Trackpad 2 is on my desk, I have this issue with the 2 finger scroll lag. If I pick up the MTP2 in one hand (holding it underneath with my fingertips) and use it like normal with the other - the issue is completely gone.

As soon as I set it back on the desk, the issue begins to happen again. Not sure if the bluetooth transmission is affected by the trackpad being on my desk, even though the 2018 MacBook Pro is only a foot away standing vertically. My conclusion is that the flat surface is hurting the signal being sent, and causes a delay. Once it's propped up on my fingers in my left hand, issue is gone. HELP APPLE :)
