An exclamation point next to your content means that iTunes can't find the file for that song. This can happen when the files were moved or deleted from the iTunes media folder. Try following these steps to fix it:


  1. Click on one of the songs with the exclamation mark.
  2. From the menu bar, click Edit > Get Info.
  3. Click locate and choose the correct file location. If you don't know the correct file location, try searching your computer for the song title or artist name.
  4. If you can't find the file location, look at your Trash or Recycle bin, or see if it's stored on an external drive.
