How do I connect an iPhone lightning port to an analog device

I want to use an adapter to connect an iPhone 7 via a lightning adapter to an analog stereo system. The ports on the receiver are connected to the component system in the old way with AV connectors. I do believe I may have a USB bus input. I actually have an iPhone cradle designed to plug into the receiver. A very excellent one which produces great sound. However it is a 7 year old version not designed to fit a lightning connector like the newer iPhones. I do know that there is a lightning to 30-pin adapter which may connect the lightning port to an analog receiver . What adapter and/or cables( data cables?) do I need to actually do the wire connection to the analog Stereo receiver?
