canon mf240

hi everyone, I was trying to print something with my canon printer mf 240. It was working at the beginning, and stopped after printing 2 pages, so I tried to delete & reinstall the printer. Then I realize I have to install a driver, I download it, but my laptop shows "Unable to communicate with the printer at this time." (printer is on & wifi setting is working). Is it the Mojave not support my printer anymore, or I need to install some other drivers, or what? I tried to look up from the community already, but didn't really solve my problems
