Can we Daisy Chain lightning adapters?

Specifically, I would like to attach an adapter with HDMI and second lightning port to my iPad Pro 2nd gen (12.9) and plug a lightning adapter in to that second port next to the HDMI just that the second adapter has a USB(A) port and another lightning port.

I want to know if I can connect power to the 3rd lightning port in the chain, as well as a USB device to the second adapter (I.e. presentation slide advance device, flash drive, ...), while it is connected to the lightning port of the first adapter which also has a video out from the HDMI port on the first adapter.
