I have an iPad model A1954 (6 gen) and need a keyboard for use iOS Numbers. We have an older MAC keyboard ( 2009 model??) that should ? pair but it doesn’t. I’ve used an up and down swip on the pad and F3 with F4 on the keyboard after the keyboard comes up on the Bluetooth connection list. The pairing is unsuccessful. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I don’t really want to buy another external keyboard as my use is really minimal.

That old a Mac Bluetooth keyboard will not work with such a new device.

The Bluetooth spec in that 10-year old Bluetooth keyboard is too old and not compatible.

You will need to purchase a more current, up to date Bluetooth keyboard to use with your new 2018, 6th gen iPad.
