Are you playing in Shuffle mode? If so, that suggest that the songs are set to Skip when shuffling. Each song can be set this way, under the song's options. Highlight a song and click on Edit/Song Info/Options>Skip when shuffling. The box should be empty (no tick in it).

If you select all the songs in one go the menu changes to Edit/Get Info (and you then see a question asking if you wish to edit multiple items (you do). The Options tab looks slightly different now, possibly like this one, or with the tick in the box.

Notice the - in the Skip when shuffling box. That means some items in your selection are ticked, while others are not. The first time you click in the box it should leave the box blank (that is, songs are not ticked, which is what you want). Then click OK.

However, if there is a tick in the box, it simply means that every song in your selection is ticked. Again, one simple click will turn it off.

Does that solve the issue?

Look in the Songs view, (or look at the view of the particular Playlist and view/view as/songs): if a song is not ticked, iTunes will not play it unless you specifically select it. It sounds as though all the songs in that Playlist have become un-ticked.

For example, in the screenshot above, the song Sum100 is not ticked. Therefore, if you start playing the list you can see, in the order shown, then after playing Yama, iTunes will play Sunday.

Click on the box to put the tick on or, to turn on the tick for every song in the list, click in one of thee boxes while holding down the CTRL key.

In that case it may be worth trying a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes. There are two versions of iTunes for Windows 10, one from the Microsoft Store and one from apple.com. If you have Windows 10 you might want to swap from one to the other.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

The circle at the top right is a download activity indicator. Your image shows that neither shuffle or repeat are turned on. The symbols either side of the track details and above the elapsed time and duration would show light on a grey rounded rectangle if active.

Try the Songs view of your library or playlist and make sure under Edit > Preferences > General that Show: List view checkboxes is ticked. What do you see?

I think I know the problem but not sure how settings are accomplished to not have it happen. The timer bar at the top does not plan in sinc with the song. If the timer bar does not go to the end there is no continuous play with the songs. If I click on the 3 dot bar at the right of the upper bar and open it the timer plays ok. If I close it stops and progression stops. As long as the timer bar progresses to the end continuous play progresses. Is there a solution to this problem. Settings, etc???

Check two or three individually to see if changes apparently made to a batch really took. The fiend has given you both the possible explanations for the behaviour you have described so if it isn't that tracks are unchecked then it is most likely skip when shuffling. See Play, repeat, and shuffle music - Apple Support to make sure that shuffle play is not selected, in which case the state of the skip when shuffling flag doesn't matter, and if they still don't play in sequence then they must be unchecked.
