Camera roll

My son, hubby, and I share a Apple ID and for some reason my sons camera roll is the only one I see on my phone since the new iOS update. Neither one of us have the photo stream activated on our phones so he can delete pictures that I have taken on my phone and I can’t find any of my old photos even looking in the recently deleted album. I just want my pictures back I took with my iPhone I have no clue where my camera roll went. Please help.

The Camera Roll will not be shown, if iCloud Photos has become enabled on your iPhone.

You may want to check Settings > Your Name > iCloud > Photos. Is iCloud Photos (Library) enabled? If yes, check this on all other iPhones that are using the same AppleID for iCloud. If iCloud Photos Library should have become enabled, the Photos Libraries on all devices will be kept identical. In that case any photo your son deletes will be deleted from your iPhones as well. And the iCloud Backup will not include the photos, so you cannot recover them from the backup. Sharing an AppleID is risky. If you want to share your purchases, you can do this in a safer way with Family Sharing.
