Block text messages from specific caller but NOT voice calls

If you block a caller, it blocks text messages, Facetime, and voice calls. I only want to block text messages from a specific contact. Currently, it appears this is not possible. Using Do Not Disturb is not a solution, not even a kludge. I want to get texts from all other contacts, just not this specific one.

Use case: some people have poor text etiquette or texting habits that I find disruptive. I would still like to receive calls from such people, but do not want to receive text messages from them.
