I am in Keynote and putting a lot of shapes and text boxes. I am having trouble selecting a shape or text box to edit or shape or move it. For some reason I click and click and click and I finally can select it (make it active). What is the secret? Do you click on a specific side, a corner or what. I am sure there's an easier way then what I am doing because it's not consistent. Please help.

This is not normal behaviour for Keynote, try resetting Keynote as follows:

I did what you suggested and it worked. I then clicked on "Correct Answer" and it took me to this place where I see no option for telling everyone you were right and to thank you for your insights.
