That message just came up on my iPad...any clues?

Do you share your ID with anyone?
If not, change your password right away.

What Lyssa said and also go out to www.icloud.com, sign in with Apple ID and Password (use two factor authentication will likely send a code to your iPhone or iPad) and see if there is an iPhone you don't recognize associated with your account.
Assuming you have an iPhone and you are signed into the same Apple ID on both devices, If you signed out of iMessage and/or FaceTime on the phone and signed in again, you will get that message on the iPad.
