The fakers have a new 800 number beware

Last year I received a call from the fake California number but contacted Apple support and the verified I had “no problems” on my iCloud account. Today I received a call back message from the “fake Apple Support”. The call came in from 1-800-693-7**3 and requested I call them back at the 1-833-346-0**4 to speak with an Apple Support Advisor. Thanks for the FTC number I will be calling them next. I just wanted to put the new scam phone number out to others asap.

The hosts modified it to obfuscate the scammer's number. Part of the reason for that is bots pick up these numbers. The more they get picked up, they more likely they'll propagate to the top of a search engine.

The thieving scammers always use new numbers. It is not a good idea to publizise these scammers' numbers since the unwary may be tempted to call.

The correct phone# is 1-800-693-7**3 I’m not sure how the ** got there. I did report this to FTC.
