Can iPad use iPhone gps for navigation?

Is there any way to send iPhone gps data to iPad for big screen navigation?

gps via ipad i understand that one can have gps capability on an Ipad without cell service. i further understand that a gps chip is required and that such a chip is provided with many Ipad models. how do i find out if my Ipad has a gps chip?

iPads can be used for navigation, but may need data through Apple Maps. If your carrier/phone supports Hotspot, you can have your phone act as a Wi-Fi spot for your iPad. Your phone, though, would need to be around your iPad.
