Kernel panics since updating 2015 MacBook to Mojave

I updated my OS to Mojave a few weeks ago, and ever since I've been having issues with what I believe are kernel panics. The screen will freeze, multicoloured horizontal lines will start flashing over the top of whatever is onscreen, and the MacBook shuts down. When restarting it gives me the grey "your computer shut down because of a problem" screen.


It doesn't seem related to one single app. All software is up to date. I've been through diagnostic and disk utility repair, I reinstalled the OS, then yesterday I did a clean reinstall of Mojave after erasing the volume. After doing that I didn't have another kernel panic for the rest of the day.


But then after switching on my MacBook this morning, boom, kernel panic.
