if my ipad is only 3 months old and it was accidentally damaged slightly on the edges does apple cover the expenses?

If you purchased extended, two-year AppleCare+, at purchase or within 60 days of purchase, AppleCare+covers two incidents of accidental/incidental damage ( one damage incident per year ) for a small iPad replacement fee of $49 U.S.D.

If you didn’t purchase extended AppleCare+, the standard, free, one-year AppleCare does NOT cover ANY accidental/incidental damages and you will be subjected to an expensive, out-of-warranty repair/replacement cost.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage, so repairs would require you to pay the out of warranty service fees. If you have AppleCare+ you have two instances of reduced out of warranty fees you can use to reduce the service cost.

If you did not buy Apple Care Plus for your iPad, regular device warranty do not cover accidental damages.
