no pictures from non-apple texts

updated software to 12.1.4 and now don't get pics in text messages from non-apple devices. pics sent from apples come through fine. what happened and how do i fix it?

Probably you are referring to MMS

SMS stands for Short Message Service. ... MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service. It was built using the same technology as SMS to allow SMS users to send multimedia content. It's most popularly used to send pictures, but can also be used to send audio, phone contacts, and video files.
