iOS 12.1.4

This post is for everyone posting about battery drain.. I’ve been noticing the same thing as well. I am a average/moderate usage individual, and when I’m at work, I am on and off the app so I will be using it lighter. My battery drains prettt fast during the day like multiple people have posted. I’ve actually restored my device to see if maybe there was a bad software installed but that wasn’t the case. Still experiencing the same issue. Hopefully Apple comes out with a software update to fix it, but it seems like every time they come out with one, it causes another issue.... took my charger off at 5am this morning and used it lightly, and it is already at 78%. I doubt my phone will last me till the afternoon before I have to plug it in again. PLEASE apple fix ASAP!

Hey,

There is no major battery issues after updating to iOS 12.1.4.It maybe the issue with Apps you are using or maybe your Battery Capacity is less.Check the battery Health from settings,if the battery is not supporting the peak performance the you need to replace the battery for getting maximum battery Health.

The first think you should do is go to Settings>General>Background App Refresh and turn it off for those applications that you really don't need updating in the background. Occasionally, those get reset during an update. If you're not willing to delete the FB app entirely (it's a known privacy, data and battery suck), at least turn off background app refresh.

I am having the identical problem - perhaps even more severe. I took the phone off charger this morning when it was 100%. By early afternoon with no phone calls, gps use, etc... and only 1 text sent, it was down to 50%. TEN MINUTES LATER - with the screen off in the interim - my phone says 2% (with no use except background in-between). So - I powered down and powered back up again. Now it says 14% (??!!) I have never had these problems before and have not changed apps or usage since.

I don't believe that the issue is power use/management that is the problem, it is charge indication. The numbers vary rapidly (up and down), not coinciding with use or charging.

Please help - my iPhone 6s is pretty much useless since the update to iOS 12.1.4!!!!
