I’m trying to find my MacBook Pro and I read that I should add it to my devices list under my Apple ID Incase someone has it and brings it in for servicing. How do I do that since it wasn’t on my list before I lost it.

Work through the screens to get an email or chat option.
If it is in someone else’s possession and they sign in to iCloud can the serial number be seen by Apple?
