iPhone 7 Plus won't recognize wired headphones

Hi,

My iPhone 7 plus won't recognize 3.5 mm headphones w/an adapter or lighting jack headphones Is this an issue with the latest version of IOS 12?

Hello,

Check the charging port for lint or other debris. Also see this:

If you see an ‘Accessory may not be supported’ alert

Use Apple headphones with your iPhone, iPad, and iPod

If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks, the phone is a warranty replacement and the jack is clean. The previous phone (also a warranty replacement) had the same issue. I don't get any errors or alerts. Neither Apple's adapter or Belkin's works. Same with the headphones.
