iTunes Movies to DVD

What is the latest on this, is Apple still putting a DRM on moives you download from iTunes? I really don't download movies so I do not know a lot about this (getting music you purchase from iTunes onto a computer then onto a CD-R is simple), is there a legal way to buy a movie through iTunes then convert it to mpeg and burn it to a DVD? (I have the technology to do this as long as there is not a file embedded in the downloaded movie preventing me from doing this). I don't want to go out and download movies for free (pirate, I guess) but if I pay for it I think I should be able to watch it in the format/on the screen of my choice (personally I cannot fathom the notion of watching a movie on a tiny little screen, such as a computer monitor, sitting at a desk, let alone on a handheld). I have enough devices connected to my devices, not interested in AppleTV at this time.

PS: I had to make some choices to post this but I could be using any of a newish iMac, an older MBP or iTunes for Windows, to download the file.

Yes movies and audio books purchased via the iTunes Store still have DRM.

In most countries it would still be illegal to remove the DRM in order to say convert the movies to a 'standard' DVD.
