Error Message Saying Cannot Install Mojave on Macbook Air 2015

I have sufficient disk space. I looked here and found the reset the SMC instructions. Have tried that 3 times and nothing has changed. As the installer counts down, it always hangs at the 11 minutes remaining mark and gives me the following message: An error occured validating the installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete.

MacBook Air 13", 10.13

Hi, tapedoctor !

I know this sounds crazy, but stick with me here - the installer just might be damaged. Have you tried deleting the installer and downloading a fresh copy?

Good luck !

Just curious. Before trying to install Mojave on your MacBook Air, were you using the very last release of High Sierra? That is a requirement to install Mojave on any Mac desktop or laptop. Maybe that it is why it is saying that it could not validate the installer data. Maybe it realized that you are missing the latest firmware from High Sierra. Just a guess.

Please let me know if this was helpful, or if it resolved your issue. Thanks! :)
