MacOS Mojave will not install

When installing MacOs Mojave (from the Apple Store), I get this Error message: An error occurred validating the installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete. Redownload the installer and try again. OK. No matter how many times I try to download, I get the same Error message. I've been trying for several months now.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

Look in your Applications folder for Install macOS Mojave.app, send it to the Trash and empty. Restart your Mac, connect your Mac to your router using a wired connection, not WiFi. Relaunch the App(lication) Store

download Mojave again, and do not use your Mac for anything else whilst it is downloading.
