purple screen imac

My iMac screen turn purple out of standby mode or screensaver. any idea? Thanks!

It appears to be a failed GPU. Before taking it to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be diagnosed and repaired try some basic resets.

Good advise there from rk87.

In addition, I would try disabling the Screensaver, Nightshades, Motion and Transparency to see if any of those or a combination of those is causing the problem.

Go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Display and uncheck Invert Colors.

EDIT: (Actually I don't think it's that)
