I am trying to redeem an Apple Store e-gift card sent to me and iTunes is stating the gift card # is not valid.
Can someone make a suggestion to resolve this problem (excluding biting sarcasm)?

If it's an Apple Store card (and not an iTunes or App Store) card it can only be used in Apple's shops and their online store, you can't redeem it onto an iTunes account and use it with iTunes.
