iPhone says no service
My phone says no service and it says update fails with an exclamation point Says I need repair what kinda repair

Try taking out sim card -> Switch off ->Insert sim -> Switch on
If not resolved, Reset network settings
If still not resolved, plug your device to itunes in a computer, back it up, and then restore your iphone (Only if you know your present apple id and password)
Take Out Your SIM Card. Your iPhone's SIM card links your iPhone to your carrier's cellular network. It's how your carrier distinguishes your iPhone from all the others. Sometimes, your iPhone will stop saying No Service simply by removing your SIM card from your iPhone and putting it back in again.
