FaceTime dissapearing

I bought my iPhone X by ordering it online from the official apple store in Dubai, UAE. Now as you know, Facetime is disabled in UAE by the government so it wouldn’t work with any carrier there.

I used my phone for a year in Jordan and facetime was working fine. I move to Canada few days ago and facetime was still working with my old jordanian simcard. I decided to buy a new canadian simcard and the moment I insert it, Facetime dissapears from the home screen. When i try to go to settings and search for facetime, i can find the option but the facetime picture beside it isnt there and clicking it wouldnt work. Restarted the device but nothing changes. When i put my jordanian number back, it appears again.

I added the new number to my apple ID and activated it.

Any idea whats going on?

The iPhone FaceTime cannot be use outside of the Middle -East from an iPhone from

that region, see below.

You can use FaceTime over Wi-Fi or over cellular on supported iOS devices. FaceTime isn’t available or might not appear on devices purchased or used in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan. However, with iOS 11.3 and later, FaceTime is available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in Saudi Arabia.
