500gb disk only shows 250gb partition

Hi,

Yesterday, I erased the hard drive (500gb) on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) and reinstalled OS. Before reinstalling I tried to merge the two partitions of the disk I previously had. So, I selected the partition I wanted to merge with the main one and clicked on the minus symbol in the disk utility mode. After that and also after reinstalling OS only one partition appears (Macintosh HD). The other one seems to be gone and hasn't merged with Macintosh HD (see screenshot). I ran first aid but it says there is no problem.

Does anyone know what happened here and what I need to do in order to have the full 500gb again?
