What are the incoming and outgoing mail server addresses?
Not the names.... the actual addresses. Apple doesn't seem to want to include this info for some reason.

If you mean for iCloud email, the name is the address. i.e this is an address: imap.mail.me.com
If you want the actual IP addresses for some reason, you can ping them to get the IP for them. For instance imap.mail.me.com resolves to 17.57.9.5
SMTP resolves to 17.57.9.8
mac.com addresses use the same email server as iCloud.com, and Me.com
See here: Mail server settings for iCloud email clients - Apple Support
If you are using default Apple Mail app, then you don't need this. The server is automatically configured for you.
If there's an error connecting to the incoming email server it likely would not be resolved by manually setting the server address.
To answer these questions you need to ask your e-mail provider.
Thank you. I put this address in my phone settings and my outgoing mail still doesn't go out. Incoming mail is fine.
I tried setting up my email account on my desktop exchange, and neither works. But that could be our internal security.
However, both worked fine on my phone until the latest OS upgrade.
Yes, my email is "example.mac.com" I was hoping to get the outgoing AND incoming mail server addresses such as imap.mail.me.com and whatever the outgoing server address is.
My iphone won't send email, but it receives.
My desktop (exchange server) won't do either.
I'm on a mac using Apple email
That link does not provide the actual server name / address

Do you mean @icloud.com email address, see Phil0124 tip above.
This is perfect. Thank you.
