Safari not responding

Since the Safari update, Safari is not working on my computer. Will not open and cannot force quit. I have to turn my computer completely off and unplug to get Safari to work. If I walk away for a couple of hours, it's back to the same thing. Can't open and can't force quit.

If you can’t open Safari or a new Safari window, try these suggestions.

If you can’t open a Safari window on Mac

Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while. Plug it back in. Power the router on.

Wait until all lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.

Start up in Safe Mode. This will remove some system caches and perform a minor level Disk Repair.

Try launching Safari

Once in Safe Mode, click the “Restart” button at the bottom to exit Safe Mode.
