Hello , I have this issue on High Sierra and on Mojave as well . Any advice how to fix it, format it or something that can help ? And also is this a problem when I use my iMAC ?
Also I've been seeing this problem on a many computers laptops and iMacs..

The partition map unknown is apparently normal for APFS filesystems. I see it here with High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G5019), and Mojave 10.14.3 (18D109). Disk Utility First Aid has no issues with APFS formatted drives that show partition map unknown.
I have friend who bought a macbook 15 inch 2015. His mac was autoamticly upadate from El Capitan to High Sierra and had the same problem . I created a bootable USB drive with High Sierra and reinstal this macbook and everything was alright . Why some computers are okey with this and other not ? But thank you I am happy that this doesnt afect my mac devices .
I have the same unknown partition map indication on a 2011 Mac mini, and a 2014 MacBook Air. Different operatings systems as I mentioned previously without any ill effects.
MOJAVE. doesn't recognise Partition Map Type: Unknown !! HOW to fix it ?
