Apple Watch shows blue lock symbol. I just got a replacement XS Max. Everything on the phone is restored except it won't connect to my watch which seems to be still paired with the previous phone. Any help?

You have Water Lock activated on the watch, so just spin the Digital Crown as seanfromllanelli suggests.


For the new setup... I had to do this recently after my iPhone 6s+ met an untimely end. Fortunately I had just done an icloud backup, and the new phone setup resored my backup from iCloud, then picked up the watch automatically and offered to add to the phone. It all went really easily before I even left the Apple Store. So... If your iPhone 7 is still around, do an iCloud backup before you switch devices, and you will hopefully have the same easy upgrade I got.
