I was trying to hide/show files, for which to reload profile and make aliases available, i pasted 'source ~/.bash_profile' in the terminal and hit return. After which terminal is refreshing/reloading since then. See attached.
Can you share any link to article explaining how to install Ruby on mac OS.
Ruby is already installed on macOS.

With your terminal running can you see a list of jobs, can you kill from there, if in the bg ?:
jobs
bg
fg
kill %1
If the command line:
jobs
returns nothing, it is telling you there are no jobs running.
After i ran 'source ~/.bash_profile' cmd in the terminal, its reloading for ever
